Welcome Information

We hope you enjoy your stay and visit again soon.  It is time to relax and begin your vacation.  Before you arrive, you may want to read over and familiarize yourself with the condo unit and all that the Atlantic Beach area has to offer.  Arrival can be a little stressful, our goal is to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive an access code to our front door.  This code will be active during your stay.

There are a variety of wonderful restaurants, but we know sometimes you would like to stay in for lunch and dinner as it is difficult to leave our gorgeous beach.  We also understand there are staples that you will need to purchase while you are here. There are plenty of grocery stores in the area and on your way in from Morehead City.  If you are looking for a large selection of ready to cook meals or a large variety of speciality items, we would suggest stopping at Lowe's Foods in Morehead City.  Once you are on the island, Food Lion is a large grocery store conveniently located, it will also have many essentials you need for the beach.

A Dollar General and several surf and beach shops are located on the island, you will have no problem finding a bathing suit, souvenirs and any needed beach items.  As soon as you cross the Atlantic Beach bridge, you will notice Marsh's on the right hand side. On your way to the condo you will several more. We suggest taking maybe a rainy day or a morning before hitting the beach to explore the shops, if you can snag a Shibumi (explained below) from AB Surf Shop, count yourself lucky.

If you are unfamiliar with North Carolina, you may want to be aware that beer and wine can be purchased at a grocery store, but to purchase liquor you will need to visit the ABC store.  You will notice several on your way to Atlantic Beach, but there is one located on the island.  Please be aware that the hours are not always holiday friendly, so make sure you purchase your alcohol in advance of any approaching holidays.

If you are interested in renting beach equipment or watersport equipment, you may choose to secure those rentals before your arrival.  AB Watersports is located on the island and rents everything you need for water and sun activities.  Shari's Shade rents shibumis and beach chairs weekly or daily.  Below you will find your welcome booklet, a few documents from our HOA and information about some of the places mentioned above.
